Did you know adopting from a dog or cat from us saves lives?

When you bring home an animal from CAR, it makes space in a foster for a new one! The animal's spot in that foster is then filled by another animal in need! Every time we pull dogs or cats from a shelter it also creates another space for the shelter to bring in animals in need!

Our adoption process starts with a short form used to get to know your lifestyle and the type of animal you are looking for! The form can be found here.

Adoptable animals can be seen on our Facebook, Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, and at our adoption events. Some animals may not be posed yet as they are awaiting medical care or training! If you do not see your ideal dog or cat, please still apply and a CAR volunteer will reach out with suggestions and help with the adoption process!

Our adoption process involves prospective families meeting animals, adoptable animals being introduced to current animals in the home and contracts being filled out!

All animals are fully vetted prior to adoption. This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick/heart worm prevention, microchipping and any other medical needs an animal comes to us with!

The adoption process may look different for each animal and family as everyone has different needs. We want to ensure every family and animal finds their best possible match!
